Frequently Asked Questions

Account and verification

  • Does using Social Login share my private data?

No. We only use Google, Apple or Microsoft to verify your identity. We do not have access to your contacts, posts, or private account details.

  • I didn’t receive my verification email. What should I do?

First, check your spam or “Promotions” folder. If it hasn’t arrived within 5 minutes, return to the login page and click “Resend Verification.” Ensure your company’s firewall allows emails from our domain.

Organization setup

  • Is it possible to manage multiple organizations?

The current onboarding flow links your user account to one primary organization. For enterprise structures with multiple subsidiaries, please contact our support team.

  • Can I change my Organization Name later?

Yes, you can update this in your Organization profile, but we recommend accuracy from the start as it impacts the “Legal Entity” written on your Declaraton of Conformity.

Subscription and payments

  • What happens if the payment fails?

If your payment is declined, your organization profile remains saved, but features will stay locked. You can return to the subscription page at any time to try a different payment method.

  • What payment methods are supported?

Through Stripe, we accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and several regional payment methods depending on your country.

Articles

  • Why did my bulk article import flag errors?

Ensure your CSV file includes the mandatory “Article name” and “Reference ID” fields, and that your GTINs and product categories use strictly valid formats.

  • Why can’t I link my article to a conformity assessment?

Your article must have an assigned GS1 Product Category before it becomes eligible for selection

Packaging

  • Why can’t I select my packaging for a conformity assessment?

Your packaging must be in Complete status before it can be assessed. If you saved your progress, it is marked as “Incomplete.” You must proceed to the final Summary screen and click Submit to finalize it.

  • Can I fix a mistake on a packaging after I have submitted it?

Yes. Simply click on the completed packaging in your list to open its details side panel. From there, you can click the Edit icon to modify packaging information, component details, or uploaded documents. Be aware that the packaging’s composition cannot be modified. In case you would like to swap components, you will have to create a new packaging for that.

Components

  • How do I edit my custom component without affecting other packagings?

First select the respective packaging from the list so that its side panel opens. Then click the Edit icon of that component and select “Detach and create new”. This safely unlinks the component from the original portfolio item and allows the component to be modified solely for your current packaging.

Similarly you can also modify your custom component right after importing it during the creation of a new packaging. You can do this instantly by clicking its Edit icon in the Component details page.

  • Why is my component locked and marked “Request pending”?

It is locked to prevent conflicting edits because an active data request was sent to a supplier. To regain editing control, simply click “Cancel request” on the component’s page to revoke their access. Once the request is completed by the supplier you will be notified by email.

  • What happens if I delete a component that has uploaded documents?

If the component is the only reference for that document, the document will be automatically deleted along with the component. If the document is linked to multiple components, it will safely remain in the system and only the link to the deleted component will be removed.

  • What is the difference between a Supplier and a Manufacturer?

In PAQR, the Supplier is the entity that directly sells or provides the component to your organisation. This is a mandatory field that you must select from your saved supplier list.

The Manufacturer is the entity that physically fabricated the component. This is an optional, free-text field, as the manufacturer might be the exact same entity as your supplier, or it could be a completely different third party.

  • What are heavy metals?

Heavy metals are dense, naturally occurring elements. They are restricted in packaging because they can be highly toxic, contaminating the environment and posing serious risks to human health and wildlife when packaging is disposed of. For conformity assessment in PAQR, you must indicate if your components contain four specific heavy metals: Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, and Hexavalent Chromium. To comply with legal requirements, the combined sum of all heavy metals across your packaging must not exceed a limit of 100 ppm.

  • What is total fluorine (TF)?

TF stands for total fluorine. Because PFAS chemicals are built using fluorine atoms, measuring total fluorine is a common, simplified screening method used to estimate the potential presence of PFAS in a material. In PAQR, the two are directly linked during the assessment process. The platform first checks your TF value, which has a compliance threshold of 50 ppm or less. If your TF value is 50 ppm or below, no further PFAS values are required. However, if the TF value exceeds 50 ppm (or is unknown), the system will require you to provide the value for the total of all PFAS. If that total PFAS value exceeds its limits, you will then need to fill out the specific monomeric PFAS concentrations.

  • What is PFAS?

PFAS (Per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances) are a large group of synthetic chemicals commonly used to make packaging and other products resistant to water, grease, and stains. They are heavily restricted because they are often called “forever chemicals”—they do not easily break down in the environment and have been linked to various health risks. In PAQR, you are required to declare PFAS concentrations for conformity. The system specifically checks that the highest monomeric PFAS is under 25 ppb, the sum of monomeric PFAS is under 250 ppb, and the total of all PFAS is under 50 ppm.

  • What happens if my supplier submits incomplete data?

Your final packaging submission will be blocked. PAQR will display a warning on the Summary screen until the missing mandatory fields are updated.

  • What if a supplier cannot provide the requested information?

The supplier can officially reject your data request. They must leave a mandatory note explaining why, which will instantly trigger an automated email notification to you. Once rejected, the component will be unlocked again.

On the other hand, the supplier is not obliged to fill out all fields. They can simply provide the data they have available and send back the request with the component’s data only being partially completed.

Documents

  • Can I change what a document refers to after I have already uploaded it?

Yes, you can click “Edit” on an uploaded document at any time to modify its assigned subjects or change the specific packaging and components it references without having to re-upload the file.

  • Can I edit or delete a document that was imported from a supplier’s catalogue?

No, documents provided directly by suppliers through their catalogue components cannot be modified or deleted once imported. That means that their subject and reference cannot be updated by your organisation.

Conformity Assessment

  • What does the DoC number mean and how is it generated?

The DoC number (for example, LBAPCA-1/2025) is automatically generated by PAQR. It consists of a unique 6-character ID representing your organization, a sequential number that starts at 1 for your company, and the current year.

  • What if I update a component’s technical details while my assessment is still in progress?

PAQR will automatically detect the changes. The next time you continue the assessment, the system will prompt you to synchronize it to ensure your preparation reflects the latest modifications.

  • What happens if my packaging fails to meet a regulatory requirement?

The final Assessment of Conformity report will flag the specific issue with a warning icon and explain the gap (e.g., indicating the recyclability rate is below 70%). You can then go back, improve your packaging design or documentation, and run the assessment again. However, PAQR does not act as a police force—although these warnings are shown, you still have the option to proceed and declare conformity.

  • How do I prove which specific packaging the DoC applies to?

The document features a dedicated “Description of the packaging” section that automatically embeds your packaging’s custom description and your internal Reference ID. It also includes a unique, shortened Packaging ID to ensure it is unmistakably clear which specific packaging the document refers to.

  • How can I share my finalized DoC with external partners or auditors?

Once signed, you have multiple flexible ways to share your compliance proof: you can download the official PDF file, copy a secure public URL link, or display the automatically generated QR code that allows anyone to instantly view the document by scanning it with their phone.
