I didn’t receive my verification email. What should I do?
First, check your spam or “Promotions” folder. If it hasn’t arrived within 5 minutes, return to the login page and click “Resend Verification.” Ensure your company’s firewall allows emails from our domain.
Does using Social Login share my private data?
No. We only use Google, Apple or Microsoft to verify your identity. We do not have access to your contacts, posts, or private account details.
Can an Admin remove themselves from an organization or change their own role?
No. To prevent accidental lockouts, Admins are strictly blocked from deleting themselves, removing their own Admin privileges, or taking their own roles away. A separate Admin or the organization’s Owner must perform these actions.
Can I change my Organization Name or Address later?
Your physical Legal Address can be edited in your Organization profile, but your Legal Name is tied to your Stripe subscription billing profile and cannot be changed. You can, however, freely customize and update your consumer-facing brands and trademarks.
Is it possible to manage multiple organizations?
The current onboarding flow links your user account to one primary organization. For enterprise structures with multiple subsidiaries, please contact our support team.
What payment methods are supported?
Through Stripe, we accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and several regional payment methods depending on your country.
What happens if the payment fails?
If your payment is declined, your organization profile remains saved, but features will stay locked. You can return to the subscription page at any time to try a different payment method.
How is the “DoC Status” on my Articles dashboard updated?
You cannot change this status manually. The “DoC status” badge on your Articles dashboard is a live system indicator. It automatically switches to compliant once the packaging composition linked to that article successfully completes its conformity assessment and its official Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is signed and finalized.
Why can’t I link my article to a conformity assessment?
Your article must have an assigned GS1 Product Category before it becomes eligible for selection
Why did my bulk article import flag errors?
Ensure your CSV file includes the mandatory “Article name” and “Reference ID” fields, and that your GTINs and product categories use strictly valid formats.
What is the difference between Sales, Service, Group, and Transport packaging levels?
What happens if I change the packaging level of an ongoing conformity assessment?
PAQR automatically adapts your active draft depending on the change:
Why can’t I select my packaging for a conformity assessment?
Your packaging must be in Complete status before it can be assessed. If you saved your progress, it is marked as “Incomplete.” You must proceed to the final Summary screen and click Submit to finalize it.
Can I fix a mistake on a packaging after I have submitted it?
Once a packaging is marked complete, its physical component composition and quantities are strictly locked. You can still edit general details (like the Name or Reference ID) and upload documents, but physical structural changes require creating a new packaging.
What is PFAS?
PFAS (Per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances) are a large group of synthetic chemicals commonly used to make packaging and other products resistant to water, grease, and stains. They are heavily restricted because they are often called “forever chemicals” – they do not easily break down in the environment and have been linked to various health risks.
In PAQR, you are required to declare PFAS concentrations for conformity. The system checks that the highest monomeric PFAS is <25 ppb, the sum of monomeric PFAS is <250 ppb, and the total of all PFAS is <50 ppm.
You can choose the “Below limit” option to instantly apply these default threshold limits without needing exact lab measurements. PAQR calculates the weighted average of these substances across your entire packaging to ensure strict regulatory conformity.
What is total fluorine (TF)?
TF stands for total fluorine. Because PFAS chemicals are built using fluorine atoms, measuring total fluorine is a common, simplified screening method used to estimate the potential presence of PFAS in a material. The compliance threshold for TF is 50 ppm or less.
In PAQR, you can simplify data entry by selecting “Below limit”, which instantly applies the default ≤50 ppm threshold without requiring exact lab measurements. The platform automatically calculates the weighted average of TF at the packaging level.
If your packaging’s weighted TF value is 50 ppm or below, no further PFAS values are required. However, if it exceeds 50 ppm (or is unknown), the system will prompt you to provide specific PFAS values – starting with the total of all PFAS, and moving to specific monomeric PFAS concentrations if those limits are also exceeded.
What are heavy metals?
Heavy metals are dense, naturally occurring elements. They are restricted in packaging because they can be highly toxic, contaminating the environment and posing serious risks to human health and wildlife when packaging is disposed of.
To comply with legal requirements, the combined sum of all heavy metals (Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, and Hexavalent Chromium) across your packaging must not exceed 100 ppm. In PAQR, you can select “Below limit” to automatically apply the default threshold (≤100 ppm) from a lab report without needing to type in the exact elemental concentrations. The assessment report will automatically calculate the weighted average of heavy metals at the packaging level to accurately determine compliance.
How do I edit a component without affecting other packagings?
Go to Components and select the item. If it is already linked to packagings, select “Detach and create new” when editing. This duplicates the component and applies your changes only to the new copy, leaving the original and its linked packagings untouched.
Why is my component locked and marked “Request pending”?
Sending a data request to a supplier locks the component’s technical fields and changes its status to Requested to protect data integrity. You can instantly unlock it at any time by clicking Cancel request in the details side-panel.
What happens if I delete a component that has uploaded documents?
If the component is the only reference for that document, the document will be automatically deleted along with the component. If the document is linked to multiple components or packaging, it will safely remain in the system and only the link to the deleted component will be removed.
What happens if my supplier submits incomplete data?
Your final component submission will be blocked. PAQR will display a warning on the Summary screen until the missing mandatory fields are updated.
What if a supplier cannot provide the requested information?
The supplier can officially reject your data request. They must leave a mandatory note explaining why, which will instantly trigger an automated email notification to you. Once rejected, the component will be unlocked again.
On the other hand, the supplier is not obliged to fill out all fields. They can simply provide the data they have available and send back the request with the component’s data only being partially completed.
What is the difference between a Supplier and a Manufacturer?
In PAQR, the Supplier is the entity that directly sells or provides the component to your organisation. This is a mandatory field that you must select from your saved supplier list.
The Manufacturer is the entity that physically fabricated the component. This is an optional, free-text field, as the manufacturer might be the exact same entity as your supplier, or it could be a completely different third party.
Can I edit or delete a document that was imported from a supplier’s catalogue?
No, documents provided directly by suppliers through their catalogue components cannot be modified or deleted once imported. That means that their subject and reference cannot be updated by your organisation.
Can I change what a document refers to after I have already uploaded it?
Yes, you can click “Edit” on an uploaded document at any time to modify its assigned subjects or change the specific packaging and components it references without having to re-upload the file.
What happens if my packaging fails to meet a regulatory requirement?
The final Assessment of Conformity report will flag the specific issue with a warning icon and explain the gap (e.g., indicating the recyclability rate is below 70%). You can then go back, improve your packaging design or documentation, and run the assessment again. However, PAQR does not act as a police force–although these warnings are shown, you still have the option to proceed and declare conformity.
What does the DoC number mean and how is it generated?
The DoC number (for example, LBAPCA-1/2025) is automatically generated by PAQR. It consists of a unique 6-character ID representing your organization, a sequential number that starts at 1 for your company, and the current year.
How do I prove which specific packaging the DoC applies to?
The document features a dedicated “Description of the packaging” section that automatically embeds your packaging’s custom description and your internal Reference ID. It also includes a unique, shortened Packaging ID to ensure it is unmistakably clear which specific packaging the document refers to.
How can I share my finalized DoC with external partners or auditors?
Once your DoC is signed, you can share it using the Partner web page feature. On the Declaration of Conformity screen, click “Publish web page” to generate a secure, public URL link. Sharing this link allows your partners to view the packaging’s usage data and download the official signed PDF in one single view. Additionally, visitors can use a language selector dropdown to instantly translate the web page and download the DoC document in their preferred language.
What is the Partner Web Page and how do I publish it?
The Partner Web Page is a dedicated, secure URL where your external partners can view your packaging’s conformity data, usage, and official Declaration of Conformity (DoC) document in one place. To share this data, go to the Declaration of Conformity screen and click “Publish web page”. This action makes the URL and your PDF publicly accessible and generates a link you can copy to your clipboard. You retain full control and can click “Unpublish web page” at any time to instantly revoke public access.
What if I update a component’s technical details while my assessment is still in progress?
PAQR’s Smart Syncing will automatically detect the updates. The next time you open your incomplete assessment draft, the platform will prompt you to synchronize the preparation, updating it with the new specifications.
What happens if my organization details are incomplete when I try to create a PAQR ID?
The platform will temporarily block creation and show a dialog listing the specific missing information (such as contact phone, email, or brand trademarks). It will provide a direct link to your Organization profile so you can quickly fill in the missing operational details and proceed.
Can I change the linked Article or GTIN of a PAQR ID after it has been created?
No. Once a PAQR ID is created, its Article link and GTIN barcode are permanently locked to protect point-of-sale scanning integrity. If you need to link a different SKU or correct a GTIN error, you must unpublish and delete the current PAQR ID, then create a new one.
What is the “Quiet Zone” printing requirement for PAQR QR codes?
Following strict GS1 requirements, your printed QR code must maintain a quiet zone (a clear white margin) of at least 4 modules on all four sides. Shaving or removing this border can cause retail scanners and smartphone cameras to fail to read the code.
Why does the download dialog offer both SVG and PNG formats for my QR code?
SVG is a vector format that can be scaled infinitely without losing quality, making it the industry standard for commercial package designers and printers. PNG is a high-resolution raster format (600 DPI) perfect for digital previews, labels, and fast in-house testing.
Why is a GTIN-linked PAQR ID recommended and future-proof?
Linking a GTIN creates a GS1-compliant QR code. This is future-proof because a single printed QR code handles both point-of-sale scanning at checkout and consumer access to your digital Packaging Pass, preparing your brand for the global retail transition from traditional barcodes to 2D codes.
